Let’s work out the repairs together

Once the weather has passed, a loose panel or missing soffit can be one of several things that needs attention. We look at the affected exterior, talk through what we can see and explain the repairs we recommend. If opening the wall reveals damaged sheathing or backing, we’ll discuss that with you before moving ahead.

We know you want someone to get out to your home and get the work moving. We’ll do that as quickly as we safely and practically can, and keep you informed about access, materials, scheduling and any permits the work needs.

Siding, soffit and fascia

Wind and debris can loosen or break siding and pull soffit or fascia away from the eaves. We repair or replace affected sections and pay attention to the backing, house wrap, flashing and sealing that support the finished exterior. We’ll explain whether a focused repair makes sense or a larger replacement would be more practical. Read our siding and soffit and fascia guides.

Gutters and downspouts

If gutters are bent, loose or pulled away, we look at the affected run, its attachment and the fascia behind it. We can discuss repairs or replacement, along with downspouts that need attention, so rainwater can drain where it should.

Exterior paint and windows

Painting comes after the damaged surfaces are repaired, prepared and ready for a new finish. We can bring the siding and trim together again and talk through color and finish options. For insurance-related storm damage, we handle window replacement too, including the flashing and sealing around the opening. See our exterior painting and window pages for more about the work.

We work with insurance

We can provide a written repair estimate, photos of the conditions we find and details of the work proposed. If your insurer needs clarification about our repair scope, we can explain it. Your insurance company decides what your policy covers and what it will pay. You remain in charge of your claim.

Report damage to your insurer promptly, and ask about its requirements before agreeing to permanent repairs. Keep photos of the damage and receipts for any temporary work. Only take photos or arrange protective work when it is safe to do so.

A few questions you may have

How soon can you come out?

Give us a call and tell us what happened, where your property is and whether there are access concerns. We’ll discuss the earliest practical visit and what needs to happen before repairs can start. Weather, safe access, materials and the scope of the work can affect scheduling.

Can you repair just the damaged section?

Often a targeted repair is worth considering. We look at the condition of the surrounding exterior, what is behind the damaged area and whether suitable replacement materials are available. We’ll explain the options before you decide.

Will insurance pay for the repairs?

That depends on your policy and your insurer’s review of the damage. We provide information about our proposed repair work, but cannot promise claim approval or payment. Ask your insurance company about coverage, deductibles and any repair requirements.
